SEN Play Therapy Project - National Lottery Funding secured!
We are pleased to announce that we have secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our SEN project.
Individual play therapy sessions
This means we can now offer some individual play therapy sessions to SEN children who have left school due to their needs not being fully met at school and who are now home educated. The sessions will be tailored to meet individual needs and be a combination of child-led play and more directive play techniques that will help to address any difficulties arising from the transition from school to home based learning. There will be an option for parents to join alternate sessions and be shown some of the games or activities so they can use them at home.
Group therapy sessions
We will also be offering group therapy sessions that will encourage children to meet with other children in similar circumstances and for families to connect with each other. There will be an option for parents to join alternate sessions and be shown some of the games or activities so they can use them at home.
We can offer two groups of up to five children. The groups will be formed according to location, availability, age and developmental needs.
